Livin': Ali Limited Edition Hand-Pulled Silk Screen Poster
Southern Brand Collective was recently commissioned to design and produce a limited edition hand-pulled silk screen poster to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Rumble In The Jungle. The 1974 bout in Kinshasa, Zaire between Muhammad Ali and then Heavyweight Champ George Foreman which introduced the “Rope-A-Dope” to the world. A dream project, as we are great admirers of the man and his history. The resulting 250 hand-numbered posters will be available exclusively at ali.com.

Livin': Round Up Rodeo Weekend

Livin': Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka
Here's a lil' sumthin' to wash down that chocolate covered bacon. It's a 70 proof concoction of American Sweet Tea and Vodka. Actually it's sweet tea flavored vodka. Perfect for those hot, sunny afternoons pitchin' horshoes and crankin' the Hank. We'll admit we were a little skeptical at first. Not really all that keen on flavored liquor, seein' how they're pretty much chick drinks. The only additive gettin' into our bourbon is ice. And not that much of it. But we gotta tell ya, this is one refreshin' tonic for whatever ails ya. Sweet southern tea with a nice little kick in the pants. My sister gave me a jug for my birthday this year. I put it on the shelf and forgot about it for a few weeks. Then after a day of cuttin' & draggin' brush in the hot Florida sun, I decided to give it a whirl. Grabbed a tall glass full of ice, a lemon and a knife and wandered down to the dock to sit and sip. Sweet Jesus, I'm a believer. Just don't be runnin' off an tellin' the folks at Woodford Reserve. She's still my main lady.

Here's a bit about our wares:
We figured there weren't enough people out there makin' the kinda shirts we were always lookin' for. The kinda tees that feel like they been washed a thousand times with love by your mama, then hung to dry on the clothesline out back, just swayin' in the fresh summer breeze. T-shirts that are simple, bold, and uniquely southern. Not all that crazy, over the top printing on every inch including the armpit of the too-tight fashion tee. And not all that rebel flag, south's-gonna-do-it-again-southern that somehow seems to be all ya get when you google "southern t-shirts". We wanted to create a line for the Southern that we know. Small town America. Life through amber-tinted glasses. The sweet, smoky taste of some real pit BBQ. The steely sound of a slide guitar. The rumble of an old pick-up truck down a muddy dirt road. Sittin' on the front porch sippin' sweet tea, spittin' watermelon seeds and pickin' a tune. A brand built on truth, integrity and pride. Built on fillin' a need. By makin' the clothes we want to wear ourselves. Clothes we believe in. Premium quality. Classic American design. An honest product at an honest price.
Southern Brand t-shirts are made from sweet, soft cotton. From the dirt. Up outta the earth. They got some sun in ‘em too. And some soul. They’ve been put through an extensive vintage wash process. This produces distinctive weathering and classic color, resulting in a true vintage look and a super soft feel. We print with water-based soy and vegetable inks and use a non-formaldehyde discharge process. We don't use nothin' we wouldn't put on our own kids!
